making_connections_logo.png

Logo Creation/Typesetting: Campaign Branding

Logo for the 2008-2009 yearly theme for the Department of Applied Mathematics at the University of Colorado at Boulder. Design represents connections between individuals and groups, academia and industry, entities and the world. The palette calls to mind concepts of natural patterns, the earth, sun, and wind to represent a new focus on green energy. Circular design represents advances coming back for revision and renewal. Typeface design implies motion in "Connections" while "Making" has a stationary quality that represents the solidity of quality working relationships. Dotted line shows disparate entities coming together to make new, complete concepts. The design translates at all sizes and in multiple color combinations including black and white.

Design to be featured in fliers, brochures, postcards, signage, and on the department website.
